Turn ratio =N1/N2 and transformation ratio=N2/N1.
Turn ratio=400/2000 = 0.2.
Turn ratio=400/2000 = 0.2.

Transformer primary side = 400turns.
Transformer secondary side = 2000 turns.
Calculate transformer ratio?
Transformer ratio(k) = n2/n1,
= 2000/400.
Transformer ratio(k) = 5.
Transformer secondary side = 2000 turns.
Calculate transformer ratio?
Transformer ratio(k) = n2/n1,
= 2000/400.
Transformer ratio(k) = 5.

Why not primary/secondary i.e. 400/2000?

Turns ratio k = E2/E1,
= 2000/400 = 5.
= 2000/400 = 5.

turn ratio = n1/n2
n1 = 400,
n2 = 2000,
.'. 400/2000 = 0.2.
n1 = 400,
n2 = 2000,
.'. 400/2000 = 0.2.

Turns ratio (a) = N1/N2.
Transformation ratio (k) = V2/V1 =N2/N1 = I1/I2.
So answer should be 0.2.
Please don't interchange d meaning of. Tuns ratio and transformation ratio.

Turn ratio is define as ratio of turns of wire in the primary winding to its secondary winding. So Turn ratio = Np/Ns => 400/2000 = 0.2.

As per my knowledge turn ratio= n1/n2.
Transformation ratio = n2/n1.
So, as per formula the ans will be 0.2.
Transformation ratio = n2/n1.
So, as per formula the ans will be 0.2.

Transformation Ratio = E2/E1 = v2/v1 = N2/N1 = k.
Turn Ratio = E1/E2 = V1/v2 = N1/N2 = 1/k.
So, Turn Ratio 1/k = N1/N2 = 400/2000 = 0.2.
So , the answer should be 0.2.
Turn Ratio = E1/E2 = V1/v2 = N1/N2 = 1/k.
So, Turn Ratio 1/k = N1/N2 = 400/2000 = 0.2.
So , the answer should be 0.2.

Dear,
Turns ratio n = n1/n2, so answer is 0.2.
But, transformation ratio, voltage ration k = v2/v1 proportional.
Step up transformer - turns ratio less than 1.
Step down trfr - turns ratio greater than 1.
Matching transformer - turns ratio = 1.
But voltage transformation ratio is the other way step up - greater than 1, step down - less than 1.
Hope above is clear.
