R1=4.7;R2=12;R3=2.2
R=R1+R2+R3=18.9
18.9/4.7=4.02;18.9/12=1.575;18.9/2.2=8.5
so the resistor that has max.voltage drop is 12kohms which has minimum value.
R=R1+R2+R3=18.9
18.9/4.7=4.02;18.9/12=1.575;18.9/2.2=8.5

In series circuit the "CURRENT" flows through the series resistors is "SAME".
For example we consider 1 amphere current flows in the series circuit.Then we use ohm's law we get, V=IR=1*12=12V,1*4.7=4.7V,1*2.2=2.2V.Therefore the maximum drop occurs across the 12kiloohm resistor.

V=IR
R2> R1,R3
SO
V2 IS MAX VTG. Ans R2=12.

Ohms law v=ir
So,v is directly proportional to r. so as r increases v also increases. so 12k

We know current in all resistors of a series circuit is same.
By Ohm's Law we know,
V=IR
Or, V is proportional to R.
So, drop will be higher where R is higher.
So,max voltage drop occur across 12 ohm resistor.
By Ohm's Law we know,
V=IR
Or, V is proportional to R.
So, drop will be higher where R is higher.
So,max voltage drop occur across 12 ohm resistor.

When ever resistances are connected in series, same current flows hence more the voltage drop more the value of resistance according to ohms law i.e., V proportional to R.

Explanation:
Simple logic is that, Consider 1 amp current and calculate vtg drop across each resistance you will find that the more value resistance has more voltage drop.
V = IR.
4.7*1 = 4.7.
12*1 = 12 .
2.2*1 = 2.2.

As we know in a series circuit. Current is same so the amount of voltage drop totally depends upon resistance. As per the rule V = IR, so MORE THE RESISTANCE more will be voltage.

Please, anyone explain.
What is mean by voltage drop?
Is Voltage drop means a decrease in voltage or increase?
