R1=4ohms; R2=3ohms Since it is connected in series.
R=4+3=7ohms.
Answer is Increases.
R=4+3=7ohms.
Answer is Increases.

In a series connection, the total resistance is equal to the sum of all resistors as new resistor is added, resistance increases.
For example : if resistors are 1,2,3 ohms then total resistance is 6 ohms.
If 4 ohms is added then total becomes 10 ohms.
HENCE PROVED.

Increases, because in Series Circuit.
Rt = R1 + R2 + R3 + R4.
Rt = R1 + R2 + R3 + R4.

In the circuit, the total resistance is increased so by ohms law.
r =v/i.
r =v/i.

Obviously the resistance will increase because there's a series connection.
Answer won't be option A, because in series connection there be always addition not multiplication.

r1+r2+r3 = R.
Resistance are in series so R+r4 . So increase.
Resistance are in series so R+r4 . So increase.
