For a load to transfer maximum power, its impedance must be equal to circuit impedance, here RW=RS and XL must be equal to XC so as to deliver maximum power.

Hence, 2*pi*f*L=1/(2*pi*f*C); from this the value of f can be determined.

It's very simple. for maximum power transfer the impedance of both source and load should be equal. hence, already we have resistor are equal the capacitor and inductor should be equal. equate C=L. where C=1/(2*pi*f) and L=2*pi*f. so you will get the answer.

1/(2 * π * f * C) = 2 * π * f * L.
f = 1/((2*π * √ (L*C),
L = 0.120,
C = 0.000120,
f = 1027.
