Yes, In digital electronics, we have only 2 logic levels and it changes suddenly from one state to another state (0 and 1), it doesn't vary continuously with time.

In digital electronics, we use the 0 and 1 levels which doesn't change with time continuously instead it changes from level 0 to level 1.

What @Priyanka said was good reason and we know that in digital tech systems, when value once crosses threshold it approximates next level else less by 1.
