Logic families are two types:

1.bipolar logic families
a.saturated
b.non-saturated

2.unipolar logic families
a.pmos
b.nmos
c.cmos

Transistor transistor logic, level 2.5 to 5v.

What is TTL ? and what is the use of TTL ?

TTL is Transistor Transistor Logic. It was used in ICs earlier (before CMOS) as it consumes low power and gives high speed.

Transistor-transistor logic (TTL) is a class of digital circuits built from bipolar junction transistors (BJT) and resistors. It is called transistor-transistor logic because both the logic gating function (e.g. , AND) and the amplifying function are performed by transistors (contrast with RTL and DTL).
