As in serial type of connection we do end to end connection, so it reduces the no of conductors as compared to parallel. So option B is correct.

For parallel you need more inputs, so in parallel connection each input or output need a conductor. Serial have less conductor.

In serial circuit it uses only one connector to send data from transmitter to receiver and it can travel data to longer distance and cheaper in cost.

For serial transmission, only signal conductor is required that is no mean of fewer conductor in serial transmission in parallel transmission we cn use more than 1 /fewer conductors.
