A light switch is digital, it's either on or off. A dimmer switch is analog. You can adjust the amount of light by sliding the slider or turning the knob, depending on which type of dimmer switch you have.

It's a digital device because it records or displays any sort of data in digital format, i.e in the form of 0&1.

Options A, C & D denote devices showing different outputs over different inputs. The output here is analogous to the input. Hence, these are analog devices.

Thermocouple is a device and so thermocouple directly detects temperature and give output in the form of some e.m.f. in the form of 0 or 1.

Thermocouple is an active transducer not a device, rest all options are valid for any device, a device is not self powered.

In light switch either there is high signal (on) or low signal (off).
