Truncated Modulus means modulus is not in the power of 2. So in this case, 9, 11 and a5 are not power of 2. So they are truncated.
And 8 is 2^3. So it is not truncated.

A n-bit counter whose modulus is less than the maximum possible is called a truncated counter.
