According to the k-map relation m=2^n.
m=no of cells.
n= no of variables.
n --- m
0 --- 1
1 --- 2
2 --- 4
3 --- 8
.
.
m=no of cells.
n= no of variables.
n --- m
0 --- 1
1 --- 2
2 --- 4
3 --- 8

If we have no way to leave a number alone inside the K-map then we have to take that number also. So at that time 1 also will occur.

The relationship between no. of cells(m) and no. of input variables(n)is given as m=2^n
Hence when n=0 m=1
n=1 m=2
n=2 m=4
n=3 m=8 etc...........
Hence when n=0 m=1
n=1 m=2
n=2 m=4
n=3 m=8 etc...........
