Types of databases:

1) Single user database.
2) Work-group database.
3) Enterprise database(normally 100's of users).
4) Centralized database(Supports centrally located data access by authentication if required).

As the name suggests the single/one users would be option 1/[A].

Data mining is the extraction of hidden predictive information from large databases.

Eg: Consider transactions made in shopping mall. Now after data mining on the transaction reports it is found that people buying milk also buy bread. So a pattern of information is found. The manager of the mall uses this information. So now he will keep a packet of bread beside a packet of milk, hence increasing his sale.
