In this Generic Two-Level Architecture we have 2 layers:
1. Bottom Tier
2. Top Tier
Bottom Tier:
In Bottom Tier data from different source systems are extracted and loaded to Staging area where all the data is cleaned and changed to standard or common format and transformations are applied to the data and is loaded into the data warehouse.
Top Tier:
It is nothing but the reporting layer, where business users execute their reporting query\'s and use the results in decision making.
