Answer: Option
Explanation:
Printing Cost of book = 20% of C.P.
Royalty on book = 15% of C.P.
Difference = (20% of C.P.) - (15% of C.P) = 5% of C.P.

Royalty = 15 % of C.P.
Printing = 20% of C.P.
The ratio between them = 15 : 20 = 3 : 4.
So , Royalty / Printing = 3/4 = 75%
If Royalty = 75% of the Printing cost.
then , The difference between them = 100% - 75% = 25%.
Printing = 20% of C.P.
The ratio between them = 15 : 20 = 3 : 4.
So , Royalty / Printing = 3/4 = 75%
If Royalty = 75% of the Printing cost.
then , The difference between them = 100% - 75% = 25%.

Assume the total number of books as 500,
15% of 500 = 75%,
20% of 500 = 100%,
Hence 100% - 75% = 25%.
Here 15% of 500 = 15/100 × 500 = 15 × 5 = 75.
15% of 500 = 75%,
20% of 500 = 100%,
Hence 100% - 75% = 25%.
Here 15% of 500 = 15/100 × 500 = 15 × 5 = 75.

A simple way of solution:
According to the question -
(20-15)% = 5%;
So here is the formula for less than - [Difference/ more * 100].
So here the difference is 20-15 = 5%.
More value is 20%;
so, according to the formula -
5/20*100
Ans = 25%.
According to the question -
(20-15)% = 5%;
So here is the formula for less than - [Difference/ more * 100].
So here the difference is 20-15 = 5%.
More value is 20%;
so, according to the formula -
5/20*100
Ans = 25%.

We are finding how much royalty is less than the printing cost. So as we have to know how much it is lesser than printing cost so that we have to divide it by printing cost.
@All.
I hope you got my point. Simple, understand with whom we are comparing with. That means in this question we are comparing with printing cost to know how much royalty is lesser than it. So divide with printing cost.

Royalty is 15% and printing cost is 20%.
Lets assume the cost price (C.P) of book is 100, then royalty = 15 , printing cost = 20.
This means that royalty is 75% of printing cost.
Thus the % difference between royalty and printing cost is (100% - 75%) = 25%.
Lets assume the cost price (C.P) of book is 100, then royalty = 15 , printing cost = 20.
This means that royalty is 75% of printing cost.
Thus the % difference between royalty and printing cost is (100% - 75%) = 25%.

As the question was asked to find the %difference for royalty as of printing cost, we divide the difference with printing cost.

Simply, let us consider the C.P of the book is Rs 100.
Now, Royalty on the book is Rs 5 less than Printing cost. so as to calculate the percentage decrease with printing price it is, 5/20 * 100 = 25% less.
