Is there any reason for placing B4 i.e. 85 + 95 in the numerator?

What comes if we use B2 (i.e 75 + 65) as the numerator. Is there any formula or law for doing that?

@Azmath.

We have to divide with branch B4 so first we have to add B4 branch i.e. 95+85 = 180.

To the means we have to divide to get the ratio.

75+65 = 140 => 7,
85+95 = 180 => 9.
140 :- 2 = 70 =>70:-10 =7.
180 :- 2 = 90 =>90:-10=9.

Finally = 7:9 ratio.

It was just because when we calculate such kind of questions we have to take their alternatives.

They asked total sales of B2 to the total sales of B4 so we took B2 in the numerator.

In question, they have clearly asked for both the years b2 and b4 of both years.
