BSNL has partnered with Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) to roll out India’s first 5G Captive Non-Public Network (CNPN) in the refinery sector. This collaboration, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding, marks a significant step in leveraging indigenous 5G technology to drive Industry 4.0 initiatives. The deployment is expected to revolutionise industrial automation by enabling real-time operations and enhanced connectivity within the refinery. This development also aligns with the government’s push to modernise Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) through technological integration, ensuring efficiency and self-reliance in critical sectors like energy and infrastructure.

NISAR stands for NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar, a joint Earth observation mission between the American space agency NASA and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). This satellite is designed to use advanced synthetic aperture radar technology operating in dual bands—L-band and S-band—to study Earth's surface changes with high precision. It will monitor natural hazards, deformation, and environmental shifts like glacier movements and forest biomass changes. The collaboration exemplifies the growing partnership between India and the U.S. in space science and technology, and marks their first joint satellite development and launch.

Reliance Jio has introduced JioPC, an innovative cloud-based virtual desktop service that enables any television to function as a personal computer. This service works through the Jio Set-Top Box and operates without the need for traditional hardware like CPUs. The AI-powered robot currently assisting astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) is named Cimon, which stands for Crew Interactive Mobile Companion. Cimon is designed as a technology demonstration project aimed at supporting astronauts during long-duration missions. It functions as a mobile camera for real-time and recorded documentation and is uniquely engineered to float freely within the ISS. This innovative robotic assistant helps reduce stress and improve efficiency for astronauts by providing hands-free support and information during various tasks.

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) collaborated with Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation Ltd. (TIDCO) to set up a state-of-the-art ₹400 crore testing facility focused on the Mechanical and Material domain. This facility will be located in Tiruchirappalli as part of the Tamil Nadu Defence Industrial Corridor (TNDIC). The initiative falls under the Defence Testing Infrastructure Scheme (DTIS), which aims to boost indigenous defence manufacturing by providing world-class testing infrastructure. The MoU reflects the government's commitment to strengthening defence capabilities and promoting industrial growth through strategic partnerships.
