West Bengal receives one more feather to be added to her crown. The acquired the first position for smooth implementation of e-tender process in the state. E-tendre rule for a contract for projects worthy of more than 5 lakhs was started in 2012 in the state to make the process more transparent. The main aim was to make tendre process more transparent and mainly corruption-free as many times people pointed the finger to the process for various irregularities. From the first day of 2018, e-tendre become mandatory in every department. Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced the award received from Central Government. The state was given the first prize for ensuring e tender. The state becomes best in the country for ensuring e-tendering of Fifty-three thousand projects worth RTs 36,000 crore.
