Assam State Government and Isha Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for rejuvenation and conservation of rivers. Assam is the sixth state to sign the MoU with Isha Foundation for rejuvenation and conservation of rivers. Earlier, Assam State Government had organised 'Namami Brahmaputra' and 'Namami Barak' festivals to revitalise these rivers and explore the scope for utilising them as water navigation routes.
