Himachal Pradesh unveiled its first ozone-based drinking water treatment project in Dehra, located in Kangra district. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced ₹46 crore for the project, which uses ozone gas to disinfect water and improve its taste. The initiative aims to strengthen drinking water infrastructure and is expected to be extended to other parts of the state after its implementation in Dehra.
