The Yoga Mahotsav was organised at the Western Group of Temples in Khajuraho on May 27, 2026, marking the 25-day countdown to the 12th International Day of Yoga (IDY). The event took place in Madhya Pradesh and was conducted by the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) under the Ministry of Ayush. It forms part of a nationwide 100-day countdown campaign aimed at promoting yoga participation across India in collaboration with 100 institutions at 100 locations. The initiative also includes the “Yoga 365 Days” program, which provides free training and encourages mass participation in the Common Yoga Protocol, highlighting India’s effort to integrate heritage sites with wellness initiatives.
