Explanation:
The Maharashtra government has decided to give free medical insurance cover of up to Rs10 lakh to all sitting and former legislators and their families. It will have to set aside Rs. 9.96 crore a year to pay the insurance premiums of 335 sitting legislators and 837 former legislators - 1,172 in all. Each premium works out to Rs. 85,000.

This is a wrong decision taken by Maharashtra government when they are getting a good salary and other benefits and has also good family background then why need to provide this type facility.
I think this amount should be gone for farmers or education sector.
