Arunachal Pradesh's Yak Churpi has received the Geographical Indication (GI) tag. It is a naturally fermented dairy product crafted from the milk of yaks. Churpi is a traditional food of the tribal yak herders in the state. It is rich in protein and has been a lifeline for them in the harsh conditions of the Himalayan region.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin announced cash awards and a scholarship program to honour and encourage the state's space scientists and postgraduate engineering students.

The Bihar caste census report revealed that Other Backward Classes (OBCs) constitute over 60% of the state's population. All 6,650 villages in Jammu and Kashmir have achieved Open Defecation Free Plus Model status, making it the first union territory in India to do so. This is a significant achievement, as it means that all villagers now have access to safe and sanitary toilets and that greywater and solid waste are being managed effectively.

The Uttarakhand government signed an MoU with the Poma Group, a French ropeway construction company, for the construction of ropeways worth Rs 2,000 crore to boost eco-friendly tourism in the state. The MoU was signed in London on September 28th, 2023.
