The Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana was recently approved by the Bihar government under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The scheme is designed to empower women by providing an initial financial grant of ₹10,000 directly into their bank accounts, ensuring transparency through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). After six months, successful beneficiaries may receive further assistance of up to ₹2 lakh to expand their ventures. It encourages women to engage in small-scale businesses such as dairy, handicrafts, and retail, while also creating local market spaces for them. The initiative aims to enhance livelihoods, reduce migration, and boost rural entrepreneurship in Bihar.

India inaugurated its first full-scale Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility in Sanand, Gujarat, marking a pivotal milestone in the country’s semiconductor roadmap. The facility, developed by CG Semi, was inaugurated by Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. With investments exceeding ₹7,600 crore, Gujarat is positioning itself as the "Silicon State of India," driving semiconductor manufacturing, job creation, and talent development. This OSAT plant will handle chip assembly, packaging, and testing, playing a critical role in India’s self-reliance strategy under the India Semiconductor Mission. The project also reflects strong global industry collaboration and academic partnerships.

The ‘No Helmet, No Fuel’ campaign is being launched by the Uttar Pradesh government as a proactive measure to improve road safety. Running from September 1 to 30, 2025, the campaign mandates that fuel stations across the state will refuse to provide fuel to two-wheeler riders who are not wearing helmets. This initiative aims to promote responsible behavior among riders, reduce road accident fatalities, and enforce the importance of helmet use. The directive has been structured for coordinated implementation under the supervision of District Magistrates and District Road Safety Committees (DRSCs), ensuring effective enforcement across Uttar Pradesh.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh, under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, launched a welfare initiative on August 23, 2025, during the Swachh Andhra–Swarna Andhra campaign in Peddapuram, Kakinada district. The scheme provides a ₹1 crore life insurance cover for municipal staff and a ₹20 lakh cover for outsourced workers in case of accidental death or permanent disability. Additionally, education assistance of up to ₹8 lakh will be offered for their children. This initiative not only ensures financial and educational support for vulnerable civic workers but also reflects the government’s vision of inclusive governance and its commitment to building “Swarna Andhra” (Golden Andhra Pradesh).

Haryana launched the 11-week-long ‘Swachh Kurukshetra – Mera Kurukshetra, Mera Abhimaan’ mission under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. The campaign, held from August 24 to November 7, 2025, aims to transform Kurukshetra into the cleanest and most beautiful city in India. The launch event took place at Gita Gyan Sansthanam, Kurukshetra, where citizens and officials pledged their commitment to cleanliness. A campaign poster was also unveiled. This initiative is part of the larger Haryana Shehr Swachhta Abhiyan – 2025, designed to promote sustainable cleanliness practices and foster civic pride across the state.
