Odisha has made a major move to revamp its textile and apparel industry by signing 33 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) totalling $902 million during the Odisha-TEX 2025 summit held in Bhubaneswar. This initiative, under the Odisha Apparel & Technical Textile Policy 2022, is designed to position the state as the textile hub of eastern India. The agreements involve over 160 companies and aim to generate more than one lakh jobs by 2030. Additionally, the state plans to develop textile clusters across six districts, ensuring regional industrial development and promoting inclusive economic growth across Odisha.

Madhya Pradesh has launched a progressive welfare initiative aimed at reducing youth unemployment by offering monthly stipends of ₹6,000 to women and ₹5,000 to men. This scheme supports skill-building through industrial internships and enhances employability among the state’s large youth population. It is also integrated with the Ladli Behna Yojana, extending its benefits under the informal extension ‘Ladli Bhaiyo’. By involving industries in Acharpura and other regions, the scheme not only addresses financial needs but also builds a skilled workforce aligned with economic development. This gender-inclusive approach reflects Madhya Pradesh’s broader commitment to youth and employment welfare.

The National Sickle Cell Anaemia Elimination Mission was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 1st July 2023 in Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh. This significant health initiative is being implemented under the National Health Mission (NHM) in a mission-mode approach, with the goal of eliminating sickle cell anaemia from India by 2047. The program focuses on raising awareness, early diagnosis, and treatment accessibility, particularly in tribal and affected regions. Madhya Pradesh, due to its considerable tribal population and prevalence of the disease, was chosen as the launch site for this landmark public health campaign.

The Rajasthan Assembly is establishing a ‘Kargil Shaurya Vatika’ within its premises to pay tribute to the soldiers who laid down their lives during the 1999 Kargil War. This memorial initiative involves the planting of 1100 saplings in the garden as a symbol of remembrance and respect. The inauguration of the Shaurya Vatika is scheduled to take place on Hariyali Amavasya, a day traditionally associated with greenery and planting. This project serves as a heartfelt gesture by the state to commemorate the bravery and sacrifice of the nation's armed forces.

Jharkhand is pioneering India's first Mining Tourism Project, leveraging its status as a mineral-rich state to promote cultural and educational tourism. With nearly 40% of India’s mineral reserves, Jharkhand is using this initiative to highlight its industrial heritage, create jobs, and diversify tourism offerings. The project, launched in collaboration with Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), includes guided tours of operational mines like the North Urimari open-cast mine and nearby cultural landmarks. Tour circuits such as the Rajrappa and Patratu routes blend mining exposure with visits to temples and scenic valleys, making it a unique blend of education, heritage, and eco-tourism.
