Andhra Pradesh is taking a major step in transforming its entertainment landscape by developing India’s first Transmedia Entertainment City, named “Creator Land.” This city will house state-of-the-art facilities focused on various aspects of the entertainment industry, including cinema, gaming, advertising, virtual production, and technology-driven storytelling. The Andhra Pradesh State government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Creativeland Asia Private Limited to bring this ambitious project to life. The initiative is expected to establish the region as a key hub for creative industries, driving innovation and economic growth.

Maharashtra has taken a pioneering step by becoming the first state in India to launch a standalone policy focused on shipbuilding, ship repair, and ship recycling. The initiative is designed to attract an investment of Rs 6,600 crore and generate 40,000 jobs by the year 2030. Key features of the policy include capital subsidies, skill development initiatives, and long-term land lease options, all aimed at transforming the state into a major maritime hub. The Khelo India Multipurpose Hall was inaugurated by Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya in Kamle, Arunachal Pradesh. This initiative, backed by Rs. 8 crore in central government funding, is part of the broader Khelo India programme aimed at strengthening grassroots-level sports infrastructure. The hall is designed to host multiple indoor sports and serve as a training hub for budding athletes, helping them prepare for national and international competitions. Establishing such infrastructure in remote areas like Arunachal Pradesh highlights the government's commitment to inclusive sports development across all regions of India.

Madhya Pradesh has pioneered India’s first AI-powered real-time forest alert system, aimed at enhancing forest conservation and management. The system integrates satellite imagery from the Google Earth Engine, artificial intelligence, and mobile-based field reporting to detect illegal activities such as land encroachment and deforestation. Currently piloted in five forest divisions—Shivpuri, Guna, Vidisha, Burhanpur, and Khandwa—the initiative enables immediate alerts and on-ground verification by forest officials. This proactive approach enhances the efficiency and sustainability of forest monitoring and serves as a model for other states to replicate for better environmental governance.

Mizoram has experienced a severe outbreak of African Swine Fever (ASF), resulting in the death of over 3,000 pigs within a month. The outbreak has primarily affected four districts, with Siaha being the worst impacted. In response to the spread of the disease, authorities culled nearly 1,000 pigs and declared 46 localities as ASF-infected zones to contain the virus. The economic damage has been substantial, with losses in 2024 alone amounting to Rs 336.49 crore, adding to the burden from earlier outbreaks. The situation underscores the need for robust veterinary and biosecurity measures in the region.
