The Grand Finale of the Model Rocketry and CANSAT India Student Competition took place in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, on the banks of the Narayani River. Organised jointly by IN-SPACe, ISRO, and the Astronautical Society of India (ASI), it stands as one of the largest student-led space competitions in the country. A total of 71 student teams from institutions across India participated, showcasing innovations in model rocketry and satellite technology, aimed at encouraging young minds to explore and contribute to India’s growing space research ecosystem.

The Election Commission of India has announced that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls will be carried out in 12 states and union territories as part of the second phase of the revision process. During this exercise, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will distribute unique enumeration forms to all existing voters to ensure accuracy in voter data. Importantly, voters whose names already appeared in the 2003 electoral list are exempted from providing additional documentation. This initiative aims to maintain transparency, inclusiveness, and updated records in the electoral system across multiple regions of India.

The manufacturing facility for Kavach 4.0, India’s advanced Automatic Train Protection (ATP) system, was inaugurated by Karnataka’s IT Minister Priyank Kharge. This event highlights Karnataka’s growing prominence in the field of technology and innovation, especially in sectors like transportation safety. The collaboration between NOVA Control Tecnologix and Tata Elxsi for Kavach 4.0 showcases the state’s pivotal role in promoting cutting-edge technological advancements and supporting India’s mission to enhance railway safety infrastructure.

Adani Power’s Godda Ultra Super Critical Thermal Plant is situated in Jharkhand. With a total capacity of 1,600 MW, the plant was initially developed to supply electricity to Bangladesh under a cross-border energy agreement. Recently, it has been approved for connection to India’s national electricity grid, enabling it to contribute to the country’s domestic power supply as well. This development marks a significant milestone in optimizing energy resources and enhancing regional power stability while showcasing Jharkhand’s growing importance as a hub for large-scale energy infrastructure projects.

Vedanta Group has announced an additional investment of ₹1 lakh crore in Odisha, aimed at boosting industrial growth and employment in the state. The investment plans include a ₹2,000-crore ferro-alloys plant in Keonjhar and the development of two aluminium parks, one in Jharsuguda and another location identified by the state government. This strategic move is expected to generate over 1 lakh direct and indirect jobs, enhancing Odisha’s industrial infrastructure and positioning it as a significant hub for the metals and mining sector in India.
