The Adani Krishnapatnam Port, located in Andhra Pradesh, has been granted approval to import petroleum by sea from August 28, 2024, to March 1, 2026. Operated by Adani Ports Limited, it is a deep-water, all-weather port on India’s East Coast. This decision aligns with the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways notification and is intended to serve the public interest.

The Himachal Pradesh government is introducing 'Himbhog', a maize flour brand produced through natural farming. This initiative involves the procurement of over 4,000 quintals of maize from 1,506 farmer families practicing natural farming. Major contributions come from Solan, Chamba, and Mandi districts. This initiative aims to promote sustainable farming practices and enhance the income of local farmers while also emphasizing natural, eco-friendly production methods.

Uttarakhand is actively working to provide affordable housing for low-income families under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). The project, managed by the Uttarakhand Housing Development Council (UHDC) and MDDA, will construct 16,000 homes. Meghalaya is undertaking a significant initiative in water conservation through the Climate-Adaptative Community-Based Water-Harvesting Project, supported by a $50 million loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The project will create 532 climate-resilient water storage facilities across 12 districts, addressing challenges posed by heavy rainfall. This effort highlights Meghalaya's commitment to sustainable development and resource management while fostering climate adaptation.

Ratapani Tiger Reserve, located near Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, has been designated as India's 57th tiger reserve. Spanning 1,271.4 sq. km, it includes a core zone and buffer zone to support wildlife conservation. This marks Madhya Pradesh’s 8th tiger reserve, home to over 70 tigers. The initiative enhances conservation efforts, promotes tourism, and creates local employment opportunities. Although approved by the National Tiger Conservation Authority 17 years ago, its formal notification is a significant step in protecting India's tiger population.
