Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for Nagaland’s first Integrated Aqua Park at Tzudikong under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana. This initiative aims to strengthen the fisheries sector in Nagaland by focusing on fish and seed production. The park will serve as a major resource centre, providing high-quality inputs, market linkages, and fair pricing mechanisms for fishery products. It represents a key step toward sustainable development and economic growth in the region, promoting livelihood opportunities for local fish farmers and entrepreneurs.

US-based pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly announced a $1 billion investment in Telangana, specifically Hyderabad, to expand manufacturing and global supply of medicines for diabetes, cancer, Alzheimer’s, and other conditions. The state was chosen for its strong life sciences ecosystem, skilled workforce, robust infrastructure, and industry-friendly policies. This investment builds on the company’s existing Global Capability Centre in Hyderabad and is expected to enhance India’s role in the global pharmaceutical value chain. Additionally, it will generate thousands of jobs, promote skill development, and strengthen academic-industry collaboration, boosting Telangana’s reputation as a pharmaceutical hub.

Maharashtra has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Fira Barcelona International, a renowned organization from Spain, to develop a world-class convention centre in Nagpur. The project, announced by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, aims to create a state-of-the-art facility equipped with modern amenities and excellent connectivity by various modes of transport. Beyond infrastructure development, the convention centre is expected to serve as a cultural and economic hub, hosting international conferences, exhibitions, and events that can boost tourism, generate employment, and strengthen Maharashtra’s position as a global business destination.

The 3rd International Purple Fair 2025 was hosted in Goa and inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant. Telangana has introduced dedicated Tourism Police units aimed at improving the safety and security of tourists while enhancing their overall experience in the state. The initiative began with a week-long induction program for the first batch of 80 personnel at the National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management (NITHM) in Hyderabad. By establishing specialised units focused on tourism-related security, Telangana seeks to create a safer and more welcoming environment for visitors. This step also highlights the state’s commitment to boosting tourism, ensuring that tourists can explore its cultural, historical, and natural attractions with confidence and peace of mind.
