Madhya Pradesh is the state from which the month-long nationwide 'Khet Bachao Abhiyan' was launched on June 1, 2026, from Ramasiya village in Raisen district. The campaign focuses on improving soil health through balanced fertiliser use and Soil Health Cards, promoting natural farming, water conservation, and green manure usage, and creating awareness against counterfeit fertilisers and pesticides. It also includes field demonstrations, farmer training on modern agricultural technologies, deployment of agricultural experts, and initiatives to support women and rural youth through employment and skill development in the agriculture sector.

The SIRI Mathrushree Industrial Park was inaugurated in May 2026 in Belthangady of Dakshina Kannada district, Karnataka. The project was established to promote rural entrepreneurship and support women-led social transformation. It directly benefits more than 3,000 individuals and indirectly supports over 10,000 people, mainly women from disadvantaged sections of society. The park includes essential facilities such as hostels, residential quarters, childcare services, transportation arrangements, and hygienic kitchens. By creating livelihood opportunities and strengthening social infrastructure, the initiative contributes significantly to rural development and women's economic empowerment in Karnataka.

Netrasemi, a fabless semiconductor start-up established in 2020, is headquartered in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The company launched its flagship A2000 AI system-on-chip (SoC) on May 30, 2026, marking a significant step in India’s semiconductor and artificial intelligence ecosystem. The chip is designed for applications such as smart surveillance cameras, edge AI boxes, and intelligent video gateways. It features an in-house Neural Processor, Vision Processing Unit, and Image Signal Processor, along with a patented processing architecture. Supported by the Design Linked Incentive scheme and private investors, Netrasemi is contributing to India's goal of achieving greater self-reliance in advanced semiconductor technologies.

Telangana Formation Day is observed annually on June 2 to mark the creation of Telangana as a separate state in 2014. Formed through the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014, Telangana became the 29th state of India after a prolonged statehood movement that sought greater regional identity, equitable development, and self-governance. The movement involved participation from students, farmers, employees, intellectuals, and political leaders over several decades. The day honours the contributions and sacrifices of those who supported the cause of statehood. Celebrations across the state include flag-hoisting ceremonies, tributes to martyrs, cultural programs, public meetings, awards, and exhibitions showcasing Telangana’s rich heritage and identity.

Andhra Pradesh partnered with SIDBI to establish a dedicated angel fund aimed at supporting deep-tech and emerging technology startups. The initiative is being implemented through the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH), which will provide funding, resources, and growth opportunities to innovative ventures. The fund focuses on sectors such as artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, electronics manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, and clean energy. Designed as a seed fund, it seeks to help startups access capital and real-world applications while enabling them to scale globally. The initiative also aligns with Andhra Pradesh’s broader economic and innovation-driven development strategy.
