Doha, the capital of Qatar, will host the 21st Asian Games in 2030. The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) flag was handed over to Qatar during the closing ceremony of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games on October 4, 2026. Doha previously hosted the 15th Asian Games in 2006 and will therefore become a two-time host city. Qatar was selected to host the 2030 Asian Games during the 39th OCA General Assembly in Muscat in December 2020. Doha also unveiled its 2030 Games identity and slogan, “The Games We Live For,” during the handover ceremony.
