Lovepreet Singh secured the silver medal in the men's +110kg weightlifting event at the Commonwealth Games 2026 after finishing with a total lift of 388 kg. He narrowly missed the gold medal by just 1 kg, as New Zealand's David Liti lifted 389 kg to claim the top position. Lovepreet delivered an outstanding performance in the snatch event, setting a new Commonwealth Games record with a 176 kg lift. Despite a strong clean and jerk effort, he was unable to complete the decisive 217 kg lift, finishing second and adding another medal to India's weightlifting tally.
