Kishore Jena won the Indian Grand Prix 5 in Chandigarh with a throw of 82.53m. This was his personal best and also the best throw by an Indian javelin thrower this year. Jena, who hails from Odisha, is a rising star in Indian athletics. He made his international debut at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, where he finished fifth with a throw of 84.77m. This was the best performance by an Indian javelin thrower at the World Championships.
