The 35th meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation & Coordination (WMCC) on India-China border affairs was held on 27 May 2026 in Beijing. The WMCC serves as an important institutional dialogue mechanism established in 2012 to maintain peace and stability along the India-China border. The meeting was led by Shri Sujit Ghosh from the Indian side and Ms. Hou Yanqi from the Chinese side. Discussions focused on border management, delimitation issues, and strengthening communication mechanisms. Both sides also emphasised preparations for future Special Representatives (SR) meetings and continued cooperation through established diplomatic and military channels to ensure peace and stability in border regions.
