Rajendra Menon was re-elected as the Chairman of the Armed Forces Tribunal (AFT) for a four-year term in 2023. He was initially nominated for the position in 2019. The Armed Forces Tribunal (AFT) is a specialized tribunal that adjudicates disputes and complaints relating to the service conditions of personnel of the Indian Armed Forces. The AFT was established in 2009 to provide a speedy and efficient forum for the resolution of such disputes.
