Natwar Singh, who passed away at the age of 95, served as India’s External Affairs Minister from 2004 to 2005 during the UPA-I government led by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. A distinguished career diplomat and Congress MP, he was also recognized for his contributions to diplomacy and foreign policy, earning the Padma Bhushan in 1984. In addition to his political career, he was a prolific author and served as the ambassador to Pakistan, further solidifying his legacy in Indian foreign affairs.

The book titled ’75 Great Revolutionaries of India’ was authored by MP Bhim Singh. The book, launched on August 11, focuses on highlighting the contributions of lesser-known freedom fighters who played significant roles in India's struggle for independence. Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh attended the launch event and commended Bhim Singh for his work. The book aims to inspire future generations by recognizing the sacrifices of unsung heroes and contributing to the vision of a developed India.

It outlines India's economic goals and aspirations as the country approaches its 100th year of independence in 2047. The book was launched at a high-profile event in New Delhi by Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, highlighting its significance in shaping discussions on India's future economic development.

Lieutenant General Sadhna Saxena Nair has made history by becoming the first woman to be appointed as the Director General of Medical Services in the Indian Armed Forces. Her distinguished career includes being the first woman to serve as the Director of General Hospital Services (Armed Forces) and as the Principal Medical Officer of the Western Air Command. Jia Rai, a 16-year-old para-swimmer with Autism Spectrum Disorder from Mumbai, set a world record by crossing the English Channel in 17 hours and 25 minutes. This remarkable feat was accomplished on July 28-29, 2024, making her the youngest and fastest para-swimmer to achieve this milestone. Jia Rai also holds the record for being the youngest and fastest swimmer to cross the Palk Strait. Her achievements highlight her exceptional swimming capabilities and determination despite her condition.
