The Anji Khad Bridge is India’s first cable-stayed rail bridge, spanning 725.5 meters in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district. It features a 193-meter-tall pylon and is designed to endure wind speeds of up to 213 km/h. Part of the USBRL Project, the bridge incorporates advanced construction techniques like the DOKA Jump form and hybrid foundations, with contributions from IITs and international experts such as ITALFERR and COWI. It is expected to boost connectivity, tourism, and economic development in the region.
