The Indian government has extended the financial aid of 1.6 billion Nepalese rupees to Nepal for the rebuilding of houses in Nuwakot and Gorkha districts, which were damaged in the devastating earthquake in 2015. The cheque for the same was handed over by India's ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri to Finance Secretary of Nepal Rajan Khanal.India is maintaining its commitment regarding the completion of post-earthquake reconstruction projects in the Himalayan nation. As of now, India has granted Nepal a total of 4.5 billion Nepalese rupees under the housing reconstruction projects.
