According to the World Economic Forum's Global Energy Transition Index 2024, India is ranked 63rd out of 120 countries, marking an improvement from its previous ranking of 67th. The index evaluates countries based on their progress in transitioning towards equitable, secure, and sustainable energy systems, highlighting India's advancements in renewable energy adoption and energy sector reforms.

Nine major ports of India achieved recognition in the Global Top 100 in the Container Port Performance Index (CPPI) 2023, a report compiled by the World Bank and S&P Global Marketing Intelligence.
