India rose to the 39th position in the 2024 WEF Travel & Tourism Development Index, a significant improvement from its 54th position in 2021. This climb reflects India's resilience and competitiveness in various aspects of its travel and tourism industry, including price competitiveness, robust resources, and sustainability.
