Arun Goel, a retired IAS officer and former Election Commissioner of India, has been appointed as India's next Ambassador to Croatia by the Ministry of External Affairs. After his retirement in March 2024, Goel was chosen for this prestigious diplomatic role, marking another significant chapter in his distinguished civil service career. His experience in governance and public administration will be valuable in representing India and fostering diplomatic relations between India and Croatia.

The new STPs (Sewage Treatment Plants) under the Namami Gange projects in UP and Bihar focus on improving water quality and reducing pollution in the Ganga River. The inauguration, led by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, signifies the fulfilment of a shared diplomatic vision between India and the UAE. This new campus is part of a broader initiative to strengthen educational ties between the two nations, as outlined in a Vision Document launched by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
