The e-Zero FIR initiative was launched by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on May 20, 2025, as part of efforts to enhance India’s response to cyber financial fraud. This tech-driven system, currently piloted in Delhi, automatically converts high-value cybercrime complaints (above ₹10 lakh) filed through the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal or helpline into Zero FIRs, speeding up investigation and law enforcement action. By reducing delays in FIR registration, the initiative aims to strengthen cybercrime detection and prosecution, addressing the growing challenge of online financial fraud in India. The system requires complainants to visit the cybercrime police station within three days to formalize the FIR.

New Delhi has taken significant steps toward promoting clean energy and improving air quality. The Delhi cabinet approved a ₹30,000 subsidy for residents installing 3-kilowatt rooftop solar panels, encouraging the use of renewable energy in urban households.
