NITI Aayog partnered with the NIIT Foundation by signing a Statement of Intent aimed at improving digital literacy and skill development in India’s Aspirational Blocks. The initiative targets around 1.2 lakh beneficiaries and emphasizes inclusivity, with at least 40% participation from women. The collaboration focuses on providing digital skills training, enhancing financial awareness, and offering vocational and employability programs. By concentrating on underserved and backward regions, the effort seeks to create equitable growth opportunities, reduce the digital divide, and empower communities with skills essential for participation in the modern digital economy.

Bharti Airtel achieved a notable milestone by becoming the first telecom operator in India to deliver uninterrupted mobile connectivity on the Vidyasagar Setu in Kolkata. The initiative addressed long-standing call drop issues on the bridge by deploying 1.3 km of optical fibre and installing network antennas on six strategically placed poles. Implemented in coordination with the West Bengal Government, Traffic Police, and Hooghly River Bridge Commissioners, the project significantly improves voice and data services. India has secured the 16th position in the Responsible Nations Index, which evaluates 154 countries based on ethical governance, societal well-being, environmental responsibility, and contribution to global stability. The index measures performance across three key dimensions: internal responsibility, environmental responsibility, and external responsibility. Singapore leads the rankings, followed by Switzerland and Denmark in second and third positions respectively. Developed by the World Intellectual Foundation, this index provides a comprehensive benchmark to compare how nations balance domestic progress with environmental care and international responsibility, highlighting India’s relatively strong performance among a large group of countries.

Mumbai is the city where Aksigen IVF launched India’s first immersive fertility knowledge centre, known as the Bharat Daftary Knowledge Centre. The centre has been designed to provide interactive and guided experiences that help individuals and couples better understand fertility and the science behind IVF treatments. By addressing common myths and misconceptions, the initiative promotes awareness and transparency in fertility care. Its core objective is to empower patients to make informed and dignified decisions by offering accurate information along with real-world support throughout their fertility journey.

The Organic Conclave-cum-Buyer Seller Meet, aimed at strengthening agri-export linkages in Assam, was organised in Guwahati.
