India and Bangladesh signed three Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) after a bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina on Friday, September 9, 2023 in New Delhi. The MoUs signed are: (1) MoU on cooperation in digital payment mechanisms between National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and Bangladesh Bank. (2) MoU on renewal of the Cultural Exchange Program (CEP) between India and Bangladesh for 2023-2025. (3) MoU between the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and the Bangladesh Agriculture Research Council (BARC) on cooperation in agricultural research and development.
