International Literacy Day 2025 will be observed on September 8 with global events focusing on the theme “Promoting Literacy in the Digital Era.” The day emphasizes the importance of digital literacy, highlighting access to digital platforms, the creation of content, and safe engagement in online spaces. ISRO’s second spaceport at Kulasekarapattinam in Tamil Nadu is projected to be completed and operational by December 2026. This facility, spread over 2,300 acres, will primarily cater to Small Satellite Launch Vehicles (SSLVs), with a planned capacity of 20–25 launches annually. Its coastal location near the equator allows safe, efficient launches into polar and sun-synchronous orbits, crucial for Earth observation satellites. Iconic towers like the Petronas Towers, The Shard, and others exemplify this legacy.
