Defence Minister Rajnath Singh launched the Battlefield Surveillance System named SANJAY to strengthen the Indian Army's reconnaissance capabilities. This advanced system integrates data from both ground and aerial sensors, offering real-time surveillance and situational awareness to aid in strategic decision-making. Developed in collaboration with Bharat Electronics, SANJAY represents a significant step forward in modernizing India’s defence infrastructure and is planned for phased deployment by October 2025. The system underscores the importance of technology in enhancing national security.

JSW Defence signed an MoU with the Telangana government to establish a Rs 800-crore manufacturing facility for Unmanned Aerial Systems. The unit will be developed in partnership with a US defence technology company. The agreement was formalized at the World Economic Forum in the presence of Telangana CM Revant Reddy and Parth Jindal of JSW Group, reflecting JSW’s commitment to advancing India’s defence manufacturing capabilities.

DRDO will showcase its tableau titled 'Raksha Kavach – Multi-layer Protection against Multi-domain Threats' on Republic Day. INS Mumbai, an indigenously built destroyer, is participating in the 4th edition of Exercise La Perouse alongside navies from eight countries. This multinational exercise focuses on maritime surveillance, air defence, and tactical interoperability. The exercise is designed to enhance coordination and collaboration among participating nations, aligning with India’s vision of a secure Indo-Pacific region as part of its SAGAR (Security and Growth for All in the Region) initiative. The Bharat Ranbhoomi Darshan App, launched during the 77th Army Day celebrations, aims to promote battlefield tourism. This initiative allows tourists to access information about key conflict locations such as the wars of 1962, 1971, 1999, the Galwan clash of 2020, and the Siachen base camp. It is a collaborative effort by the Defence and Tourism Ministries to enhance public engagement with India's military history.
