India tested the nuclear-capable K-4 ballistic missile with a range of approximately 3,500 km from the nuclear-powered INS Arighaat submarine in the Bay of Bengal. This successful test strengthens India's nuclear deterrence capabilities, showcasing its ability to launch nuclear missiles from land, air, and undersea. The INS Arighaat, commissioned on August 29, 2024, is a state-of-the-art submarine with fully Indigenous systems, underlining India's technological advancements in defence.

The Indian Army has launched "Eklavya," a digital learning platform designed to modernize officers’ training. Unveiled by General Upendra Dwivedi, the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), it aligns with the 2024 theme, “Year of Technology Absorption,” and the vision for a “Decade of Transformation.” Developed in collaboration with BISAG-N at zero cost, Eklavya hosts over 96 courses from 17 premier training establishments, offering continuous professional development while reducing the need for physical resources. It integrates with the Army Data Network, emphasizing the Army’s commitment to leveraging technology for strategic growth.

The Bilateral Exercise AgniWarrior 2024 is a joint initiative between India and Singapore, conducted at the Devlali Field Firing Ranges, Maharashtra. Scheduled from November 28 to November 30, the exercise aims to enhance professional interactions and exchange artillery best practices between the Indian Army and Singapore Armed Forces. It also includes cultural exchanges, reflecting strengthened bilateral ties and deeper defence cooperation established during the 6th India-Singapore Defence Ministers' Dialogue.

Dr Jaiteerth Raghavendra Joshi has been appointed as the Chief of BrahMos Aerospace, the organization renowned for the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile system. With a career spanning over three decades, Dr. Joshi has made significant contributions to India’s missile programs, including Prithvi, Agni, and LRSAM. As a leader in defence technology, his expertise in missile systems and mechanical engineering reinforces BrahMos Aerospace's commitment to innovation and excellence in India's defence sector. His leadership is expected to further strengthen India’s defence capabilities and maintain its edge in missile technology.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will induct INS Tushil, a Talwar-class guided-missile frigate, into the Indian Navy during his visit to Russia on December 9. Built under Project 11356, this frigate significantly enhances the Navy's capability to counter air, surface, and submarine threats. It is also designed to host anti-submarine helicopters. INS Tushil is part of a $1.5 billion deal between India and Russia, which includes the supply of two frigates from Russia and two to be built domestically with Russian technical support.
