PepsiCo India has announced that it will invest Rs 778 crore to set up a new food manufacturing plant in Nalbari district, Assam. The plant is expected to be operational by 2025 and will create direct and indirect employment opportunities for around 500 people. The plant will be PepsiCo's first food-focused manufacturing plant in the Northeast region. It will produce Lay's potato chips, Kurkure snacks, and other food products. The plant will also use advanced technology to reduce its environmental impact.
