The Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS), located in Hyderabad, won the 2025 Subhash Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar in the Institutional Category. Known for its excellence in disaster preparedness, INCOIS operates the Indian Tsunami Early Warning Centre and innovative tools like SARAT. Recognized by UNESCO as a leading Tsunami Service Provider, INCOIS plays a crucial role in ocean-based disaster management and mitigation.

Justice Alok Aradhe has taken oath as the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court, succeeding Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya. The oath ceremony was administered by Maharashtra Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai. Justice Alok Aradhe previously served as the Chief Justice of Telangana High Court, bringing extensive judicial experience to his new role. Ambarish Kenghe has been appointed as the Group CEO of Angel One, effective March 2025. He brings over two decades of experience in fintech, technology, and e-commerce. Kenghe previously held significant roles, including Vice President and General Manager at Google Pay APAC and Chief Product Officer at Myntra. His leadership experience in scaling digital platforms and integrating AI-driven innovations positions him well to steer Angel One through a competitive and rapidly transforming financial services landscape.

Dr Krishna Ella, founder of Bharat Biotech, received the INSA Fellowship for 2025 in recognition of his exceptional contributions to vaccine development, notably Covaxin. The fellowship, starting January 1, 2025, places him among distinguished scientists like Dr. S. Somanath of ISRO. Bharat Biotech has developed 18 vaccines, delivered nine billion doses globally, and introduced innovations like the intranasal vaccine iNCOVACC.

Gyanendra Pratap Singh, a 1991 batch IPS officer from the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, has been appointed as the Director General of the CRPF, with tenure extending till November 30, 2027. He succeeds Anish Dayal Singh and follows the interim charge held by Vitul Kumar. Singh’s significant career achievements include serving as Assam’s Director General of Police and playing a pivotal role during the anti-CAA agitation. His appointment underscores his extensive experience and leadership within India’s police and security framework.
