Pankaj Tripathi, a renowned Indian actor, has been appointed as the festival ambassador for Arunachal Rang Mahotsav 2024. Advocate G. Krishnaraja has been appointed as the Director of Prosecution by the Tamil Nadu government, following the recommendation of a selection committee led by a retired Madras High Court judge. Krishnaraja has extensive experience in the field, having served as Additional Public Prosecutor and Government Pleader in Chennai. His appointment is expected to strengthen the prosecution department in the state.

Daniel Barenboim, a world-renowned pianist and conductor, and Ali Abu Awwad, a dedicated peace activist, were jointly awarded the Indira Gandhi Prize for Peace, Disarmament and Development 2023. This prestigious honour recognizes their tireless efforts to promote harmony in the Middle East, with Barenboim using music as a tool for peace and Awwad advocating for non-violent resolution through dialogue and people's participation. The award ceremony was held virtually on Indira Gandhi's birth anniversary, with Justice T S Thakur heading the jury. Justice D. Krishnakumar, a seasoned judge with specialization in Constitutional law, has taken over as the Chief Justice of Manipur High Court. Previously, he served as the seniormost judge at the Madras High Court, following his appointment on April 7, 2016. His appointment comes after Justice Siddharth Mridul's retirement on November 21, 2024, upon turning 62. Justice Krishnakumar's vast experience and integrity earned him the recommendation of the Supreme Court Collegium for this prestigious position.
