Nawaf Salam, a former presiding judge at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), has been appointed as Lebanon's new Prime Minister. Receiving nominations from two-thirds of Lebanon’s 128-member parliament, he takes over from caretaker PM Najib Mikati, who garnered only 9 votes. Nawaf Salam, known for his distinguished judicial career, joined the ICJ in 2018 and was elected its president for a three-year term in February. IREDA (Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency) achieved an 'Excellent' rating for the third consecutive year in its MoU performance for FY 2023-24, with a score of 98.24.
