Exercise Sea Dragon 2026 is a multinational anti-submarine warfare training exercise hosted by the United States Navy at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam. The drill includes participation from several allied nations such as India, Australia, Japan, and New Zealand. It aims to strengthen anti-submarine capabilities, improve interoperability among partner forces, and enhance coordination in the Indo-Pacific region. The exercise involves complex scenarios in challenging maritime environments, allowing participating crews to detect and respond to simulated and real submarine threats, thereby contributing to regional security and strategic cooperation.

Bharat Tribes Fest 2026 was inaugurated at Sunder Nursery in New Delhi on 18 March 2026. The event was organized by TRIFED in collaboration with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and witnessed participation from ministers and numerous tribal artisans. Dimethyl Ether (DME) has been identified by scientists at CSIR-NCL, Pune, as a promising alternative to Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). It is considered a clean and eco-friendly fuel due to its low emission of soot and harmful gases. The development includes an indigenous catalyst for efficient production and successful pilot-scale generation. DME can also be blended with LPG, with up to 8% requiring no changes to existing infrastructure. Its adoption could significantly reduce India’s dependence on LPG imports, save foreign exchange, and support schemes like Ujjwala, while also offering applications in the automotive fuel and chemical industries.

Uttarakhand has strengthened its medical infrastructure to ensure the safety and well-being of pilgrims during the Char Dham Yatra. The government has introduced the e-Swasthya Dham portal for real-time health monitoring and deployed experienced medical staff along the pilgrimage routes.
